Ovation

Ovation provides a 3-dimensional architecture that has all of the necessary cellular and molecular components for wound healing.

Ovation contains components that are beneficial for natural bone repair:

  • The extracellular matrix serves as a three-dimensional microenvironment for cellular adhesion and migration, and the protection of growth factors.
  • The naturally occurring cocktail of growth factors and cytokines mediates cell proliferation and differentiation, angiogenesis, remodeling and prevention of scarring.
  • Endogenous MSCs further coordinate the tissue repair process through down regulation of inflammation and maintenance of growth factor pools in the tissue.

Safety and profile testing

Ovation is regulated by the FDA under 21 CFR Part 1271 Human Cells, Tissues and Cellular and Tissue-based Products (HCT/Ps). Osiris Therapeutics, Inc. is registered with the FDA as a tissue establishment and accredited by the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB).

Extensive donor screening, serological testing, bioburden testing and sterility testing is performed on every lot to demonstrate suitability for transplantation. Each lot is tested to confirm cellular viability post thaw.
